Hi there! Welcome to my world. My name is Alexa, and I'm a Tallahassee, FL native. I've been practicing the wonderful art of photography from a young age. I feel a lot of nostalgia when I think about how I used to photograph members of my family and friends over the years, capturing moments that otherwise would have been completely forgotten. When I can capture a moment or feeling in the way I intended to, it brings me joy and takes me back to the mindset of being a child; a mindset of freedom. Feeling this way about photography helps me to shoot what I consider to be very authentic photos, visual mementos from time and space. I’ve always felt there is an atmospheric quality to my work that visually conveys the way that music makes people feel.
When I create, I draw from a place within myself that I feel more deeply than anything else. Capturing the essence of raw emotion and mood by manipulating light and utilizing innovative concepts, is how I convey my vision.
